Mr Stewart in Melbourne

On Friday hubby & I made our way to Melbourne to see Rod Stewart at Rod Laver Arena. One of my all time favourites, I worked out I'd been a fan since I was 10! The wait was well worth it...the voice - the hair - those shoes!! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, he was Brilliant. And Diesel was non too shabby either.

As far as cities go - I love Melbourne. I could spend all my time taking photos of buildings.

Just a couple of photos for you to enjoy.

Simply Red

Two years almost to the date & I have completed the top of Simply Red: a pattern by Karen Cunningham. I used French General Rouenneries because I just love that fabric! This was my first Needleturn project which we commenced at Summer School 2010 in Wodonga. Now to think about quilting...

2kg Challenge

What a lovely day back at Aspect Sewing on a Saturday in Albury.

Starting back on our chosen "Major Project" to be Finished by the end of the year (I was tempted just to pay my fine to get it out of the way!!)

Dropping in 2kg from our Stash to receive 2kg back.

The Task: The Convict Challenge

To make a quilt with the fabrics in your bag, only adding 2 metres of 1 fabric: to also be completed by the end of the year. No-one is to see your quilt until then!

Below are photos of our assortment - this will be the last time you see them.

Until next time

Friends

We enjoy reading everyone else’s blogs so thought we’d give it a go. We hope you enjoy our journey, some would say Obsession.

We met through patchwork just over 3 years ago; a friendship meant to be.

Our passion is Reproduction quilts & William Morris. We love to get away for workshops & classes, or just catch up over a glass of wine and talk about life, patchwork and our patchwork plans.  Life, however, has a habit of interferring with our plans.

On QWE we want to share our works on the go: between us that could be a little scary. And of course any that we finish...oops, that’s our “F” word!
