We were lucky enough to spend a few hours catching up and stitching on Sunday. How lovely it was to enjoy each other's company and not be in a rush. I took photo's of just a few of JulieAnn's works of the moment.

This Postage Stamp Quilt is a Gift!! And has now been sent off to the quilter

A beautiful quilt on JA's Hand Quilting pile.

Another Gift Quilt!! This one is for JulieAnn's eldest son who's a huge Hawks (Hawthorn) fan. This would be a super king size - it is huge and such an achievement. 

A lovely William Morris also on the Quilting pile.

I'm sure you'll agree JulieAnn's work is amazing - she is such a talented lady. We really need to document her work more often.

I continued on hand quilting Irish Circles

And making the most of the natural light in JulieAnn's Jane got a proper photo

Marching On

Hi Friends

Just popping in to say a quick hello with a few photo's

Mother's Love Rose blooms in the garden after all the searing heat. She is such a beauty

63 Emma Mary blocks are completed and over the weekend I've organised the next batch. They are really nice & easy to work on!!

I also started working on The Chapman Coverlet from Susan Smith. You can find her here: https://patchworkonstonleigh.typepad.com/ Susan's book Quilts Somewhat in the Middle is now available and we have a copy YAY (thankyou JA) it is exquisite and most definitely worth adding to your collection. 

Prepping underway

Julieann has already made one Chapman and can be seen at an earlier post  JulieAnn's Chapman Quilt. She is actually making another... I've requested photo's from JA to share with you; she's been very busy stitching and achieved lots!! 

I had a change of pace and made a couple of Diffuser's. Wow these were so easy and it's fabulous supplies can be easily sourced from candle supply businesses

My beautiful Granddaughter Miller who I'm excitedly taking a trip to the coast to visit this week.

Girls' Weekends

Recently JulieAnn and I ventured to Tumut in NSW for a weekend away sewing, relaxing & much needed Reviving of the Soul(s).

Tumut is a lovely little town on the northern foothills of the Snowy Mountains just an hour from me & a little longer for JulieAnn. And didn't we feel it with it snowing not too far away! Lucky for us we were kept warm & cozy in our Cabin at Riverglade Caravan Park; we even got electric blankets on our beds!! The facilities allowed for the cooking of Pumpkin Soup which really hit the spot (LOVE pumpkin soup) & did us for lunch as well. Plus an extra late checkout on Sunday meant more sewing & no rushing. It really was perfection. We are planning (or trying to) for our next getaway hopefully soon.

This is such a beautiful quilt - all Hand Pieced!!

Also getting a trim for binding is Something About Florence (Another by Susan Smith)

I also got the machine out & gave the Pfaff a good work out. A new-old project Valley Forge a design by Karen Styles at Somerset Patchwork using Judy Rothermel fabric range Indigo Pewter & Honey. This has been packed away, cut, organised & ready to piece for several years. I'm happy to say it still has the appeal when I first chose the fabrics; my plan is for it to be a Sam Quilt. Since the weekend I'm ready to piece it all together (that will be next show & tell)
