Road Trips

We (Son & Myself) went on an overnight trip to the East Coast to visit my girls; our visit much too short but extremely special as always.  It’s such a pretty part of this country; we were shocked to hear on arriving home of the devastating fires which had occurred in Tathra and how lucky we were to have left at the right time. The photos below were taken that morning, the wind that blew up not long after was horrendous making the drive difficult & tiring.

A ride out to Dan Morgan’s Lookout near local town Culcairn. It was so interesting & I couldn’t believe in my 52 years I’d never been there. The day was so hot with dried & brown landscape showing our desperate need for good rain. A return trip is planned for when its cooler in a vehicle with a picnic.

Soon to be Mr & Mrs!!

I’ve made some candles for our guests which has been a lot of fun and a very big change from stitching

Speaking of which, hexies on the go for Eyton Hall with the hexie count currently at 1,826.

Reflections of Angus

A lunchtime walk to our Murrumbidgee River - its dropped considerably due to little rain in the catchments and Irrigators (rice farmers) taking lots of water.

We girls are off sewing this weekend – I promise to update you with photos this time, and soon.

Til then

Love
Linda
